The Goodness of...Warby Parker

You probably haven't heard of Warby Parker, the new online glasses shop, but they're pretty amazing. They're kind of like Netflix but for eyewear. Founded by four students (and self-professed glasses geeks) who met in business school, the company is making eyewear easier to buy (and a lot less expensive) online. You can browse the selection of high-quality, vintage-inspired, acetate frames on their website and even upload a photo of yourself to see what you'd look like with each of the frames they offer.

But even more amazing, Warby Parker will send you up to five different frame samples for you to try on yourself in the comfort of your own home at no charge! When you decide which pair suits you best, mail back all the samples (again, no charge) and they'll return your pair of choice with the prescription lenses in place. A pair of frames, including the anti-reflective, polycarbonate prescription lenses, is only $95! If you've ever been to LensCrafters or similar eyewear store, you know that a decent pair of glasses can easily cost three times that much.

If all that wasn't enough, Warby Parker also partners with non-profit organizations such as RestoringVision.org. For every pair of glasses sold, Warby Parker donates a free pair to to someone in need in the developing world.

A few of my favorite frames:

"Colton"

"Finn"

"Thompson"
